Let the countdown begin

In 2, count them 2 days, me & Branden will be having our first ever youth service! My nerves are starting to get the best of me, but I know it will all work out. I am honestly more excited than anything. As you can see in the image to the left our first service is going to be on John & my talented husband desgined the picture. So the next 2 days are being dedicated to getting everything finished, establishing the jobs we need done, & most of all just spending time with Jesus. AHHHH! :)

My roots, your roots, our roots ♥

Here's a little bit of this... & a little bit of that about myself. I'm 20yrs old, & getting ready to start my 2nd & hopefully last year of college. My hair color matches my eyes, i'm shy, fall times my favorite seasons, & I think wayyy to much. On february 26th, 2011 I married my husband Branden. He's caring, charming, & an awesome drummer! He drums for a band called Tree By Streams & for our church worship team. I am very blessed to have him in my life ♥

But anyways, shortly after we were married we were given the opportunity to become the new youth pastors of our church.... WE SAID YES! We're soo excited to start this new adventure in our lives. We decided to start right from scratch, new logo, new theme, & of course new name! After thinking of every possible name we finally decided on the name ROOTS! JERIMIAH 17:8 was the verse that helped us to decide. It says: For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit. Awesome I know :) I have made it my mission to step out of my comfort zone & show the youth the reason for why they came: the love of our savior Jesus Christ! So as our youth ministry starts to grow, i'll continue to keep updates posted as my blog grows!
